Guy Van Duser & Billy Novick
Elegant! Riveting! Soulful! Classic Mastery”
These are a few of the terms that have been used to describe this unique and stunning swing/stride, classic jazz, featuring the Chet Atkins method of finger style guitar as performed by guitarist Guy Van Duser and the sweet New Orleans clarinet swing of Billy Novick.
Once described as the smallest Big Band on the concert stage, this two man duo sounds like an orchestra.
They have been featured performers on Prairie Home Companion, NPR’s All Things Considered and on numerous film and television soundtracks.
They have made 8 CDs together and are considering making another. “Live at the Marlow Series” , a recording of last year’s performance. “ If you come hear them play, you’ll leave whistling!”
